Soldiers for Christ

The Soldiers for Christ began taking over neighborhoods that had 100% SFC membership, erecting ten-story digital portraits of their mythical prophets reading the SFC Book of Cataclysmic Psalms (most of them imaginary, mythological, and/or invented in a graphic design lab).  They were called The Great Sergeants.  SFC also started posting giant billboards at residential compounds that read For Thy Love We Erect Barracks of Virtue.  And in ironic imitation of Jewish ghettos, the SFC constructed Hannibal-proof walls and tinted pinwheel citadels to protect their micro-cities of god, with guards that wandered the sidewalks with laser wands and night vision nightskin robots that brandished Gospel verses into intruders’ skin à la Kafka.
