Camila + Haruki

Breakfast inside my flat had always been our truce, but it was a delicate one, moderated by our own exhaustion and a plate of buttermilk biscuits.  And when our moment of silence was finished, we argued about the obvious flaws of intelligent design theory in SFC literature, the contradiction of polytheism and evil spirits in Tibetan Buddhism (yawn, I know), and the mistranslations in Book of Revelation some more until we were so aroused we couldn’t look at each other.  It’s not that we had anything to disagree about, but we were passionate about nuance.  And what discourse was more important than Judgment Day?  I guess you could say that our relationship began and ended with the apocalypse.
