In possibly the shortest turnaround I've ever seen in my entire life, my lyrical essay "Obāsan in a Cup," which is part of my experimental memoir Dream Pop Origami, was accepted and then subsequently published in less than fourteen hours at Guernica. If you know me, you know then that this is a fucking awesome thing for me. I've been faithfully submitting fiction and nonfiction manuscripts to Guernica for over four years now, and to finally get a piece accepted there is heart-warming and exciting, to be perfectly honest.
